I had just had a kitchen remodel completed and was in dire need of granite counter tops. I spent all most two weeks trying to find a competent contractor in the North Pole/Fairbanks area. I could not find one competent person or company. A contractor friend mentioned he used to know a guy name Mark Leonard that did granite counter tops. I got ahold of Mark and told him my situation. Mark invited me to come by and look at his on hand granite slabs to see if he had anything that might work. I went by and met him. Mark was a very personable and courteous individual. The slabs were frozen but I found some silver cloud granite I thought might work nicely as counter tops for our grey cabinets. I was a little concerned what the color might look like after they thawed and were polished and buffed. Mark assured me he would make them look beautiful. What choice did I have as the wife had her heart set on granite. I gave him my cabinet layout dimensions and asked him to submit a bid. I figured with him knowing the bind we were in I was going to get an extremely high and unreasonable bid. Mark's bid arrived in a couple of days. I was totally shocked at how reasonable the bid was. The bid was far less than I expected. His bid covered a heavy gauge under top sink basin, granite slabs, polishing and buffing of slabs and slab drilling for sink faucet mounts. All installation requirements were also included. Mark did everything on time and as promised. When he showed up for the installation everything went in quickly. All his cuts and measurements were true and correct. I have been here 47 years and this is truly one of the better endings I have had in dealing with contractors. My wife absolutely was thrilled and loved her new counterparts. Mark was an absolute pleasure to work with an a man of his word. Thanks for all your help and the magnificent work Mark.
